Keeping warm...

Travis and I spent last weekend in Lake Tahoe. On Saturday we were shooting a wedding in North Lake and then spent Sunday with my family since it was only a 45 minutes drive to their home in South Lake Tahoe.

We are still editing wedding photos like crazy but I wanted to share some photos of the quilt that my mom is making me! I am seriously excited about it. When she came to Chico in January we went to a local quilting shop and I got to pick out all of the fabrics. It is me. I love it--it will be keeping me warm while I snuggle up on the couch with a cup of coffee.

My mom is starting to learn to quilt and decided that she is going to make all of us girls one for next Christmas. She is getting a head start. I don't think I can wait til next Christmas...

She used some excess fabric for a trim all of the way around the quilt.

My mom and little sister Kennedy. Kennedy is a master at sewing. (Yes, she has a red feather in her hair. Her and my mom do. They're hip.)

It was around 10 degrees on Sunday morning--this cat knows whats up.

Leaving Tahoe after a beautiful storm.

Right now we are in Yosemite area with Travis' parents. I'm happy to be in a cozy house next to a fire keeping me warm. A lot of people don't have that. I'm thankful.

Stay tuned for wedding sneak peeks.

Thanks for following!

  1. Your mom & Kennedy are so crafty/talented! I'm planning on making a quilt out of all my old sports shirts that I acquired through the years. Saves storage space & will keep me warm :)

  2. That's a good idea! I thought about doing that for Travis too. I don't know if he has enough that he has saved though. Sounds like a great way to keep warm!:)
