Broderick::Even Batman Needs to Sleep...

Even Batman Needs to Sleep…
...and I bet he needs his mommy sometimes, too.
Life has been a crazy whirlwind of sickness, travel, work, lots of highs & definitely some lows. I feel like I'm in the trenches of motherhood and I only have one baby! Phew.

Every night when our heads hit the pillow, we sigh with relief and joy that another day is done and we're thankful for the start of a new day to come. This boy of ours has changed our lives--this could not be more true. We are tired and thankful. We are learning and changing. We are enjoying a lot of moments. And I think God gifted us with sleep so we could look at our sleeping, rosy-cheeked children with hope for more time and more memories.

Have a great weekend, friends! I hope that it is full of rest and time spent with the ones you love.

Chico, CA Engagement Photography::Ryan and Carly

When we first met with Ryan and Carly we knew that they'd be fun to work with. They have a silly side to their relationship and you'll see that they shared some of that with us. June is going to be a great month to get married--I'm kinda partial to June Weddings:). Can't wait to celebrate these two becoming husband and wife!

Travis and I had so much fun spending Saturday evening with Ryan and Carly. Enjoy this little glimpse into our time spent together. We ventured into downtown Chico and then to a special place in Upper Park where Ryan proposed.
 Love this next photo!
 So sweet...
 Carly, you are beautiful!
 Pretty awesome...
As the sun set we took a few more photos under this beautiful tree. Aren't these two adorable?
Thank you so much Ryan and Carly! Looking forward to celebrating you in June!

Chico, CA Birth Photography:: Catalina Sophia

Wow, every time that I am welcomed into a delivery room I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Each family has their own story to tell and I'm so grateful to get to be there to share in that. What a gift.

I walked into room 4458 to find mom resting and dad coloring with his two oldest daughters, who were anxiously awaiting the arrival of their baby sister. Isabella and Gabriella were lucky enough to get to witness their sister's birthday. Their dad told them they'd remember this day for the rest of their lives…this is so true.

It was a beautiful day--enjoy these photos as they tell the story of a family of 6 becoming a family of 7!
Daddy is also known as Doctor and was able to do Gina's epidural and deliver their baby girl.
Everyone got some rest and big sisters Gabriella and Isabella did a great as they kept looking at the clock waiting for it to be time to meet their sister.

The look on Gina's face brings tears to my eyes--Relief and complete joy.
This next sequence of photos show older sister Gabriella cutting the cord. I love them...
 Listening to Catalina's strong heartbeat.
I adore this next photo showing all the people checking out little Catalina. She is precious!

Everyone left to let Mommy and Catalina have some time. I walked back in to this beautiful scene...
Catalina weighed 7lbs 10oz and has the most scrumptious little rolls on her legs.
Welcome to the world Catalina!! Thank you Bax Family for allowing me into your lives. You're beautiful!
