“In this life, people will love you and people will hate you and none of that will have anything to do with you.”
Abraham Hicks
I wrote a while back on my Facebook that I was struggling with rejection. I shared that I was so thankful for my husband, who encouraged me and helped me find insight into why I had been stressed.
I was sitting on the floor with Brody and I said to him "Brody, I hope you don't feel rejected ever in your life." Then I paused and realized that he will. It's inevitable. Then I said "Okay, well I just hope that you handle it better than your momma". If being an example for your baby isn't motivation to do right, I don't know what would be.
There will be people in your life who don't want to be your friend. And, in my opinion, as long as you know that you are being loving, then their decision to not want to be your friend has nothing to do with you and everything to do with them.
I think this will be something I will be facing the rest of my life. And I am learning day by day how to handle it.
We are not called to be best friends with everyone. But, we are called to love everyone and that is also something I am learning.
A few photos to brighten up this post:)
How do you deal with rejection? Or how have you learned not to deal with rejection?;)
